We live on a sun powered planet.
For over a century, our civilisation has been fuelled by burning the past, coal, oil, and gas, fragments of ancient sunlight stored beneath our feet. But the real source has always been above us. We just forgot to look up.
Today, that’s changing. Solar is now the fastest-growing source of power on Earth, clean, abundant, and unstoppable.
This global shift is now unfolding on rooftops just like yours. Whether perched on a clifftop, cradled by the coastline, or nestled in the heart of town, this movement is now within reach of your home.
This is energy redefined, and we’re here to help you make it yours.
24 Hour Sun
Every home we work with is different, but the outcome is the same, a home that generates, stores, and uses its own energy, delivering long-term independence and empowerment.
We design around a simple principle we call 24 Hour Sun. Energy captured during the day doesn’t disappear with the light. It’s carried forward, into the evening, so your home continues to run long after the sun sets. Lights on, meals cooking, your world powered by what was captured hours before.
Behind the scenes, an intelligent system manages the flow of energy throughout the day, prioritising solar when it’s available, drawing from battery storage when it’s not, and only using the grid when necessary. The result, greater self-sufficiency for your home, all powered by nature.
A new relationship with energy
Morning light through the windows, coffee brewing, your home running on stored energy from the day before. Then as the sun rises in the east, solar takes over once again. By midday, your roof is generating at its peak, powering your home and storing excess. By evening, that energy carries you through dinner and into the night.
And over time, something shifts. For the first time, you can see your home’s energy as it happens, beautifully presented on your phone, showing how much you produce, use, and store. And when energy becomes visible, behaviour changes also follow. Dishwashers run during the day, cars charge when surplus is flowing and small decisions start to align, almost instinctively, with the rhythm of the sun.
And those small shifts compound over time. When you can see energy in real time, it becomes tangible and usage becomes intentional.
Solar PV
Beauty Meets Innovation
We believe energy systems should respect the character of the building they belong to. Sometimes that means using in-roof panels for a flush aesthetic. In other cases it means carefully positioning over-roof panels so they align with the geometry of the building. Occasionally the solution lies elsewhere on the property, such as garden pergolas or carports, discreet structures that preserve the visual integrity of the home. The goal is always the same. Solar energy, designed with care for the building it belongs to.
Projects
Forest, 2025
A beautiful oak-framed building fitted with in-roof solar panels that form the roof itself. The result is an elegant architectural finish where solar becomes part of the structure.
Vale, 2023
A lovely home next to the beach, the in-roof panels on the front span the whole of the roof left to right providing a really high-end aesthetic. Along with battery back-up, making this home energy resilient should powercut occur.
Torteval 2023
A new garage added to the home provided ample opportunity for a solar-roof. In 2026 we came back to add batteries to the home, giving even greater energy independence for the client.
Battery Storage
Sunlight doesn’t have to stop at sunset.
During the day, your solar system will sometimes generate more energy than your home needs in that moment. Instead of sending that surplus back to the grid, a battery stores it, holding onto your own energy until the sun disappears. So when evening arrives, your home doesn’t fall back on the grid. It carries on, powered by what it made earlier.
In winter, the system adapts. On the days when sunlight is shorter your battery can charge from the grid during low-rate hours. That energy is then used to supplement your reduced solar generation, reducing reliance on high-rate electricity. The result is a system that works with the seasons, capturing the sun when it shines, and sourcing energy intelligently when it doesn’t.
Energy is personal
High in the Himalayas in the early 1980s, Renew co-founder Paul witnessed a village run out of kerosene. Cooking stopped. Energy disappeared. Each day, an elderly woman climbed the mountainside carrying firewood on her back, not out of choice, but survival. Watching her revealed a truth that never left him, energy is freedom, or the lack of it.
Decades later, that understanding has shaped our philosophy.
For generations, people have been exposed to increasing energy prices, supply shocks, and dependence on regimes that weaponise energy supply. The cost is not only economic, but systemic, instability that ripples through markets, governments, and people’s everyday life.
When energy is produced where you live, something shifts. Homes become less exposed, communities more resilient, and control begins to return to where it belongs.
Sunlight becomes sovereignty.
Client experiences
I would highly recommend this company if you are considering installing solar power or other renewable energy sources. From start to finish we have been very impressed. Everything was done extremely neatly and efficiently and we now have a system we can benefit from for years to come.

From start to finish an extremely positive experience. The team at Renew firstly discuss what you’re desired outcomes are and are extremely knowledgeable about the products they’re selling. The end result for us is a highly productive yet aesthetically pleasing system which is what we requested. Whilst working on site the team were considerate and polite and clearly enjoy the work they’re doing. They took the time to consider all the detail from cable routing to microinverter placement and panel finishing. The result is a system that we believe, when looked after, will last for twenty years or more. Highly recommended.

Renew fitted my solar array in spring/summer 2024 and after a year of solar generation, we decided to look at the cost and benefits of adding battery storage. Jack, Paul and the whole team at Renew have given us excellent customer service, highly professional workmanship and knowledgeable advice on what options were available and what would best serve our needs. Can’t recommend Renew and their great team of staff highly enough!
Steph L
Renew installed my solar array in July 2021. They handled the design all the way to installation including all the paperwork. Currently they are installing a solar battery for me. I would happily recommend to anyone in Guernsey who is interested in renewables. My 15 panel system generated over 6MWh in a year.
