Are there alternatives to the standard roof solution? My house is quite pleasing to the eye and I don’t want to upset the lines.
You could use roof integrated solar panels that provide a very high aesthetic, creating a ‘solar roof’. Or if you don’t want to use your roof at all, there are a lot of alternatives to the standard roof solution.
You might have a flat roof, or a roof tucked away somewhere behind a parapet, and they are very useful areas. Alternatively, you could utilise outbuildings, sheds or pergolas. Also, large gardens, fields and dilapidated greenhouses offer opportunities.
