Are there alternatives to the standard roof solution? My house is quite pleasing to the eye and I don’t want to upset the lines.
You could use roof integrated solar panels that provide a very high aesthetic, creating a ‘solar roof’. Or if you don’t want to use your roof at all, there are a lot of alternatives to the standard roof solution.
You might have a flat roof, or a roof tucked away somewhere behind a parapet, and they are very useful areas. Alternatively, we are looking more and more at utilising outbuildings or pergolas as people want to maximise their generation and return. Also, large gardens, fields and dilapidated greenhouses offer opportunities.
